Sukuma

Johannesburg · Pan-African

Evidence that survives scrutiny.

Sukuma measures whether development programmes changed anything, and carries that evidence to the institutions able to act on it. Nine countries with live measurement systems. Advocacy across more than thirty African Union Member States.

Position

Most programmes can describe activity. Far fewer can defend a claim about change.

Sukuma is an African impact organisation. We design the measurement, build and operate the reporting infrastructure that many partners in many countries can actually use, and then place the findings where decisions are made — Member States, Regional Economic Communities, funders and boards.

Every figure we publish keeps its source instrument, its collection date and the partner that submitted it. Where a figure is not yet verified, we say so rather than round it up.

Reach

Nine countries with live measurement systems.

Operating countries run collection, verification and consolidated reporting on a fixed cycle. The wider footprint is advocacy and strategic communications reach, which we count separately and never merge into the operating figure.

Engage

If you need a claim you can defend, start with the measurement.

We work with funders, Member States, Regional Economic Communities and implementing partners. Tell us the decision the evidence has to inform, and we will tell you what it takes to get there.
